Awareness Raising Workshop on Statistics Law and Rules was held at the Meeting Hall of Shan State Government Office in Taunggyi Township on 20th January 2022. U Khon Thein Maung, Minister for Economy of Shan State Government delivered the opening address at the Workshop. In his address, he spoked that the new statistics law and rules will be very helpful in conducting statistical processes, especially in the collection of statistical data from the private sector. Then, Deputy Director General of Central Statistical Organization explained about the Statistics Law and Rules. The Workshop aims to provide the development of evidence based policies, planning and decision making.  Ministers of Shan State Government, senior officials from related departments and officials from Central Statistical Organization, Shan State Office, totally (120) participants attended the workshop.
