Training on rebasing Myanmar’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 2012 to 2017 is being opened at the Office No.32, Central Statistical Organization, Ministry of Planning and Finance on 18-29 November 2019 supporting technical assistance by International Monetary Fund (IMF). In Myanmar, the CPI is being computed by using 2012 base year. Base year for the CPI needs to be changed because the consumption patterns of the people are changing year by year. The training has been participated 18 staff from CSO Head Quarter lectured by IMF’s expert, Ms. Mari Yla-Jarkko.
